Street and Rivers in Thailand

In Bangkok the rivers are as busy as the streets!
You can take taxi boats up and down the river.
The boats stop at different ports along the river .

This sign is at the back of the boats where monks get to ride for free!

Here are some monks waiting for the boat 'bus'.

Can you guess what this is? It's a monk's robe up close.
Dad on the boat.

It was a great way to travel.

Even on along the river there were billboards of the king.

Lots of buildings and houses were back up to the river side.

This guy was sitting along the bank.

The sky was beautiful- full of big fluffy clouds.

Along the ends of some boats are strands of flowers for good luck.

Inside the Buddhist temple people also drop coins into bowls for good luck.

Cling, cling, cling... lots of people were dropping coins.

Even the children were dropping coins and saying prayers to Buddha.

Here I am at the foot of a big Buddha.

It's a huge reclining Buddha.

The feet are made of mother of pearl inlay.

There is the big Buddha and then the little Buddha!

It's really long.

Along the street you can see different vendors making jewlery.

There was a lot of yummy fruit for sale.

Vendors with their wares.

More street vendors.

Another person making necklaces.

Music for sale.

Lots of narrow streets with lots of goodies.
